Eisley - Combinations

Tyler, TX band Eisley will be releasing its much anticipated (by me, at least) follow-up to their 2005 album "Room Noises" on August 14th. The new album will be entitled "Combinations", and the first single has already been released on iTunes and is quite good. I encourage everyone to go and download "Invasion".

Eisley, named after the location of the cantina scene in Star Wars, Mos Eisley (shortened for fear of legal repercussions), are really the DuPrees. Siblings Stacy, Chauntelle, Sherri and Weston and cousin Garron. As is the case with most siblings, the voices blend perfectly, and the young, high, idealistic sounding voices of Sherri and youngest Dupree Stacy on lead vocals makes for a very uplifting musical experience. There is a wonder in their music, a wonder of the world around them that falls from joy to melancholy easily, but always feels natural and never forced.

From the sound of their new single, there is more of that to come on "Combinations", despite growing a bit older (though, the youngest is still merely 18) and Sherri getting married (to New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert). Needless to say, I am very excited for this new album's release.

Check out Goodnight and Go for some tracks from their last album, and download the new single from iTunes or hear it on their website, linked above.
